20 Reasons to Re-Elect President Trump
Since his first days in office, President Trump has made sex trafficking one of his top priorities.
Calling it an “epidemic” involving “horrific crimes”, he has dedicated “the full force and weight of our government” to ending this form of “modern day slavery”.
From…
- Operation Broken Heart, which led to the arrest of 1,700 suspected child sex predators;
- to Operation Not Forgotten, which rescued 39 children from a ring of sex traffickers;
- to enacting laws that support victims and fund police task forces;
- to declaring the month of January, “National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month”, drawing major attention to these crimes,
President Trump has achieved major gains in this battle.
Most recently, in 2020, the Trump administration sent $35 million to organizations that provide safe housing for victims, and another $100 million to anti-trafficking task forces.
“This is one of the top enforcement priorities of the Justice Department and we’re on the forefront of this fight,” said Attorney General William Barr.
In fact, Trump’s efforts on human trafficking have been so aggressive, that many say he’s gone too far.
Specifically, by enacting FOSTA-SESTA, laws intended to crack down on websites used for sex trafficking, the administration has created controversy by also disrupting unrelated commerce and activity.
